COAST Stands behind the quality of our gear. Warranty is for manufacturing defects only - it does NOT cover normal wear and tear, misuse, or battery-related damage.
How Warranties Work:
- Coverage varies by product (see breakdown below)
- Shipping and handling fees are not covered by warranty
- You must keep the defective item until we confirm your replacement, as we may request it back for inspection.
- Only valid in the USA and Canada. For all other countries, please contact your local distributor.

Knives, Multi Tools, and LED Flashlights/Headlamps – Lifetime Warranty
COAST warranties its COAST knives, tools and COAST LED Flashlights/Headlamps to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for the life of the original purchaser. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, nor damage resulting from misuse or neglect. Warranty does not cover batteries and charging accessories (or damage caused by either). Batteries or damage caused by batteries (i.e. leakage) not included in the guarantee. Warranty exchanges do not cover the cost of shipping and handling. Please hold onto the warrantied item until you receive a replacement. We reserve the right to request the damaged item back.
ZITHION-X AA and AAA Batteries – Lifetime Warranty
COAST warranties ZXAA and ZXAAA batteries to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for the life of the original purchaser. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, nor damage resulting from misuse or neglect. Warranty exchanges do not cover the cost of shipping and handling. Please hold onto the warrantied item until you receive a replacement. We reserve the right to request the damaged item back.
Emergency Area Lights – Five Year Warranty
COAST warranties its Emergency Area Lights to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for 5 years. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, nor damage resulting from misuse or neglect. Warranty does not cover batteries and charging accessories (or damage caused by either). Warranty exchanges do not cover the cost of shipping and handling. Please hold onto the warrantied item until you receive a replacement. We reserve the right to request the damaged item back.
Safety Products (Safety Vests, Safety Armband, SPG400/SPG500 Safety Glasses) – Limited Five Year Warranty
COAST warranties its Safety Products (Safety Vests, Safety Armband, SPG400/SPG500 Safety Glasses) to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for up to 1 year, and a limited 5 Year Warranty for the LED Safety Light Strip. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, nor damage resulting from misuse or neglect. Warranty does not cover batteries and charging accessories (or damage caused by either). Warranty exchanges do not cover the cost of shipping and handling. Please hold onto the warrantied item until you receive a replacement. We reserve the right to request the damaged item back.
Electronics Accessories – One Year Warranty
COAST warranties its electronics accessories (products with digital screens) to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for ONE year. Warranty does not cover batteries and charging accessories (or damage caused by either). Batteries or damage caused by batteries (i.e. leakage) not included in guarantee.
